Monday Funny
Since I missed posting yesterday, I thought I would post the funny today!
I've been busy knitting the last couple of weeks. I think I've decided what I'm going to do for an Etsy shop, and have been working on that. As well, I've taken on a commission from an old work friend to make three pairs of socks for her. I'll try to be better about posting though!

Sunday Funny
Seriously, what happened? We were having lovely warm days, and the snow was melting. The first day of spring comes along and it starts snowing again!
I haven't accomplished much this last week. I finished the first sock of my March pair, and have cast on the second. I'm looking at the calendar and wondering if it will get finished before the end of March.
The yarn is still in timeout. I'm thinking that I'll frog the scarf and start over again.
I went to a workshop yesterday about setting up an Etsy shop. Lots of wonderful information, put on most excellently by Lindsay and Susie. I don't know if I'll start up a shop, but now I have some idea on how to do it.

The Battle with the Yarn Continues

Remember the yarn that didn't want to be socks? I started knitting it into a Hitchhiker scarf, and it was very happy. It knit beautifully. Until Friday night, when I was knitting on it while I was watching a movie on Netflix (Romancing The Stone...it didn't really age well). I noticed that I had dropped a couple of stitches a couple of rows back. Unfortunately, it was in a place where I couldn't just use a crochet hook to fix the stitch. So I tinked (unknit) in order to get back to the spot so I could fix it. But stitches started dropping off the needles all over the place! And I couldn't find my small crochet hook to catch them.
So I gave up for the night, with a resolve to fix it in the morning. Except in the morning, I found that one of the dogs had pulled the scarf around and managed to pull more stitches off the needles.
The yarn is now in time out, until I decided whether it will be better to rip back a few (many?) rows to fix it, or to just rip the whole thing out and start over. Right now, starting over is winning.
And how was your weekend?

In The Mail
I got some new pretties in the mail in the last week.
First there was this sock yarn I got from Webs.
They're both Mrs. Crosby Train Case sock yarn. The one on the left is Toucan colourway; the one on the right is Winter Wheat. The yarn is 55% superwash merino wool, 15% nylon, and 30% outlast which is a rayon fibre. It's supposed to moderate temperature to keep from becoming too hot or too cold.
Then I got this on Tuesday:
Like it says on the box, it's a software program to design quilts. It's a very basic program, but that's good since I don't have any desire to design or make complicated quilts. I haven't loaded it on my computer yet, that may happen this weekend.
